The 746 egg counting system has been developed for counting, checking and controlling egg flows in the poultry industry. The basic system is suitable for a maximum of 8 groups and maximum 480 inputs. The group can be divided into a maximum of 24 rows of 12 tiers.
In addition to egg counting, registration of feed and water consumption is also possible. If this is carried out per house, no extra group is necessary. If feed and water registration is carried out per row and/or per tier, extra groups should be used.
The data collected can be presented in daily and weekly overviews.
Two methods of egg collection:
Maximum speed:
After the houses to be collected have been selected, the egg belt speed is controlled so the packer is immediately supplied with the required amount of eggs. The blend ratio between the houses is not taken into account. The computer aims to empty all the houses simultaneously.
Optimum blend ratio:
After the houses to be collected have been selected, the egg belt speed is controlled so the required amount of eggs arrives at the packer. The eggs from the selected houses are collected in such a way that they arrive at the packer in the same optimum blend ratio as at collection. Since the C2.0 version, the timing of the control has been accelerated. Now the 746 is perfectly suitable for alternative systems, with a much more regular egg flow.
Features include:
- Fancom’s IR.10 infrared egg counter can be used to count eggs.
- A maximum of 480 counter inputs, to be divided over 8 groups. A group can be divided into a maximum of 24 rows with a maximum of 12 tiers.

Options:
- SB46.4 selection box for the selection of houses to be collected and the start/stop of total egg collection for up to max. 4 houses (groups).
- SB46.8 selection box for the selection of houses to be collected and the start/stop of total egg collection for up to max. 8 houses (groups).
- IDM.16 network module with 16 digital inputs for egg counters, water pulses, feed pulses, egg belt pulse detection and tier detection. The total number of inputs, divided by 16 determines the minimum number of IDM.16’s necessary.
- IRM.16 network module with 16 relays for extra controls such as automatic tier control and extra pulsed outputs. The 746 has 3 relays for these extra controls. If more relay controls are necessary, an IRM.16 should be used.
- RPM feedback for egg belt pulse detection per house/group.
- PS.24 power supply. The number of PS.24 is calculated from the number of end stations and egg counters.
- Operation by PC running the F-Central program based on loop or network communication.
- Extensive presentation/management program for PC (only in combination with FarmManager for Windows).
