The Fancom IMS is a Intelligent Motor Switch. An IMS controls a 1-phase or 3-phase Fancom actuator/winch.
Features:
- Possibility for communication via I/O-Network. This saves you one analog output on your controller. One control computer and a maximum of 31 network modules may be connected to the I/O-Network.
- If the IMS is used as a traditional end station, it is controlled by a voltage signal; the IMS can be used for 0-10/10-0Vdc control. The maximum number of IMS controllers on one analog output is 3.
- The IMS has a temperature input, which can be used by the controller as well via the I/O-net.
- The IMS can take over control in the event of communication problems. If the connected computer can communicate the set point and control range to the IMS, these values will be used for further control.
- If the input of the ‘power fail’ (PF) detection activates, the IMS will set the air inlet to the pre-defined position – if the correct emergency power supply has been connected.
- The front of the IMS has a 5-position switch. The position of the switch determines the function of the actuator.
- An IMS controls a 1-phase or 3-phase Fancom winch/actuator. Control is based on the potentiometer feedback (4K7) of the actuator.
- The IMS has a 7-segment display. This will indicate the controllers program status.
